Whitney holds a marketing internship for the Harbert College of Business, where she pioneered a social media campaign and curates collateral marketing materials for the New Venture Accelerator. She is earning her bachelor’s degree in public relations from the College of Liberal Arts. She is also double minoring in marketing and general business from the Harbert College of Business.

Summer 2022, she completed an  internship at Little Word Studio, a boutique firm based in Newport Beach, California. Daily duties included copy, assisting in brand kits, pitching to news sources for clients including luxury real estate, start-ups and influencers and research for a blog and media subscription service, Elite Content Collective. Check out her blog page to see a magazine feature for Realty ONE Group in their quarterly luxury lifestyle publication.

To strengthen her writing and get her country music fix, she was a contributing writer for The Nash News throughout 2022. Her posts included song reviews, performance recaps, lifestyle, listicles and more for over 130,000 followers.

To develop as a public relations practitioner, Whitney served on the executive board for Auburn University’s student-run and pro-bono PR firm, The Oaks Agency. As a co-director of the account and outreach committee, she supervised content calendars, event planning, press releases and client relationships for nine accounts. She is also an active member in Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society, serving as president, and was the executive liaison for Auburn's PRSSA chapter.

Whitney is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and served as the director of philanthropy, accelerating fundraising efforts by raising over $35,000 for local charities, scholarship funds, child illiteracy and mental health initiatives. Her event planning experience carried over into her former role as assistant director of finance for the University Program Council, where she administered free events for Auburn students with hundreds in attendance. Events included watch parties for the number one ranked Auburn University Men's Basketball Team, Homecoming Parade and the Holiday Lighting Ceremony in conjunction with the City of Auburn.
